Meet The Pack

Remember that post about Violet and Benny? Did you ever wonder what happened to them? Well here’s your answer. We end up adopting both of them, no surprise to our friends and family. 🤪 So now we officially have six dogs! I love seeing peoples expressions when I tell them that.

If someone had told me five, six, years ago when we only had two dogs I would have stared at them and told them they were absolutely insane. There was no way my family of five that lived in a small 30ft trailer most of the time would be have six dogs. But here we are, six dogs, five people. Maybe were insane, crazy, whatever you want to call us. But this was what God wanted. So if he wanted us to do this were just going to have to trust him and take that leap of belief.

Some of you might be asking, why would God want you to take these dogs? What dose he have to do with this? We did try to get them adopted but everything always fell through, and then there was this sermon a woman did about taking that leap of faith even if to you it looked like a bad decision. God was speaking to us, telling us to take these to orphan puppies in need of love and a home in. So we did.

These puppies are mine, not family dogs. So, when I move out they will be coming with me. Which make me so happy, after years of asking for a puppy of my own, I get TWO! But it’s also terrifying, dogs are a lot of work, money and time. But I trusting in God, I know he will get me through anything.

Time to meet the rest of them! Oh, and one fun fact about all our family dogs. All of their names come from the TV show Gilmore Girls. Violets and Benny’s are from the Boxcar Children book series.

^This is Lulu. She is fourteen or thirteen years old, we are not positive. She has always been the sweetest girl, except she’s gotten kind of pushy in her old age. Lol. She has been in my life since I was a baby.

^This is Tillie. She is around twelve, again we are not positive. We got her after our chihuahua died from heart problems. She pretty scared of everyone except my mom.

^This is Jackson. He is four years old, we do know his age because we got him when he was a puppy. Tillie had a baby kitten that she loved and mothered in her foster home so we got Jackson for her. He’s my buddy, even though he’s kind of a jerk…

WE’RE ALREADY AT THREE

^This is Lemon. Her OG name was Lulu but since we already had a Lulu her name was switched to Lemon. She is around four years old, but acts like an old lady since she has leg problems. We meant to end getting dogs with Jackson, at least until Lulu died. But none of them were actual chihuahuas, so… enter Lemon!

^Then there is Benny (on the left) and Violet (on the right). The two babies who showed up in our yard. Violet is my baby girl, and Benny is my silly goose. I love them both so much, and know we are going to have some really amazing years together. Let the games begin!
