Half-Way

I’m baccckkk!! I had so many posts I’ve wanted to do recently but they never got written or published because my blog decided that it was a wonderful time to break -I haven’t been able to login in for weeks, until today! Now I am back, with a very exciting, and kind of sad blog post. The year is already half way gone, and I’m going to cover some of the things I originally wrote about in my post for the new year (Farewell, and Hello). Alsooo, I totally recommend reading it if you haven’t; it’s one of the best posts I’ve ever written.

Before I get into everything, let me catch y’all up a bit on some big events that have accrued in my life of late.

First off, over two weeks ago I had surgery for shaving my tonsils and adenoids down. It was a pretty painful recovery (like a very bad sore throat among other things), but I’m finally feeling almost back to normal! And I’ve even been getting better sleep; which has been amazing. Now I’m just waiting for my singing ability to go back to normal. XP

Second, I must tell you guys of two big life changing things that make me so very happy: one, I now have a job! I’m working as a page at my local Library, which is like a dream job for me. I basically just reshelve books and work the front desk, but I’m still so excited to be working in a library. Second, I will soon be getting my permit!! Which if you know me is a HUGE deal. I’ve been talking about my wish to drive for as long as I can remember, and now it’s finally becoming a reality.

Life is coming upon me so fast, and it does feel a little overwhelming, but I’m so excited to enter this new chapter! I can’t wait to let y’all know how everything goes. But I promise to always still find the time to write a post, whether it’s short or long, not matter how busy I am.

Anyways, lemme go over my six big goals that I made at the beginning of the year.

#1 Write a novel. Uhhh, I can’t even remember the last time I sat down and did some fiction writing -that wasn’t for school. Maybe I did a little here and there, but I really didn’t do any at all, which is something that really weighs my heart down with sorrow. I hope to do a lot more writing when summer starts and my time opens up a little.

#2 Get my permit. Indiana’s driving laws changed, and my family’s situation, so I could get my permit tomorrow at the earliest! I’m so freaking excited; like, there are no words to describe my excitement. And then I will be getting my license a bit after my 16th birthday (a few months actually).

#3 Exercise a lot more. I was doing really well with this until I injured my knee all the way back in January. Now I’ve been struggling, but I’m still trying my best. There are days where I struggle a lot, and there are days where I exercise a lot. I hope to soon find an inbetween.

#4 Meal plan. I did a decent job with this goal, but since my surgery I haven’t been doing it. I plan on starting back up soon; I even have an appointment with a nutritionist tomorrow evening.

#5 Get a summer job. You know, I did not think I would be able to fulfill this goal, but here I am! First job acquired. I’m so excited to start working a regular shift, and to get to know my coworkers even more than I already do. (most of them already know me pretty well, I’m a bit of a regular at the library. XP)

#6 Quality time. I think I maybe did well a few days, but I’m honestly not really sure. Again, it would be a better question for my family.

There they are, the six big goals. I think I’ve done a pretty decent job throughout all, and I plan to keep working and improving as the year goes on! I also continue to plan trying to post every Sunday! Hopefully my blog doesn’t have any more problems that log me out for weeks on end. XD

To Be Read list for 2026:

Kiss of the Rose Princess by Aya Shouoto I have not been able to read this one yet because my library does not have it; I’ll have to look for it online elsewhere.

The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Loin by Beth Brower I did read this one! I’m not sure I’ll read this rest of the series though; all my friends says it get better around book 4, but I’m not sure I really want to put the effort in to get there. lol

Great Expectations by Charles Dickens Have not read it yet, but I’m looking forward to reading it immensely.

My Happy Marriage, Vol. 6 by Akumi Agitogi I did read the rest of this series! Absolutely love it, and I really want to watch the TV show.

The Alcazar by Amy Ewing  Haven’t read this one yet either. XP And I might not.

A Dance of Silver and Shadow by Melanie Cellier Haven’t gotten to it, but I will!!

And that is all I have for you recap wise. This year has been decent so far, though it’s turning out to be one focused on my health problems. lol I’m excited to see what the days ahead will bring, and I can’t wait for things like my job, and learning to drive. As always, I’m so grateful for you guys, my dear readers.

Oh wait, one last thing. Something so important I can’t believe I almost forgot it. Next month, during the very first week of July, I will be flying out to see my very dear best friend from Thailand! I am over the moon excited, and I can’t wait to meet her.

That’s all for now, farewell my friends. <3

  1. Sorry it took me so long to get it back up and running. The implementation is more straight forward and vanilla so you should be set now!

    You should write a Sci-Fi novel 😉

I bet exercising will come easier now to with an open air way. 💪

    • I’m just glad that it’s finally back up! I really appreciate the effort you put into fixing it each time it breaks.
I’m really not a big fan of Sci-Fi, so I don’t think I will do that. XP
      One can only hope!
