Goodbye 2024!

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow -Albert Einstein

This year just blew by, one day it was February and I was having my first book club meeting, and then the next thing I new it was December and we were having a Christmas party! (Sorry for being so loud library. XD)

I have had so much fun this year, I’ve learned so many new things, but I’m ready for the new year, ready to move on from past worries and mistakes. To start afresh with my new knowledge, a clear mind, and a light heart. Ready to face the unknown with power from the past. Ready to start anew.

That’s what a new year is, a chance to start fresh, to correct past mistakes, but not to forget them. Our mistakes help us become better, we learn and grow from them. They help us become better strong people. And we need that. So as I welcome the new year with open arms and a light heart I also remember the past year with a soft smile and an open mind.

Here are some of my resolutions for this year.

#1 Pay better attention to my school books. When I am reading actually read and focus on them. Pay attention to the words, and don’t let my mind wander down a rabbit trail.

#2 Spend more time with my family. Don’t let screens and books become more important to myself than my family. They are more important than anything.

#3 Exercise more. Don’t be lazy, actually use your body, instead of rotting on a couch or in my bed all day. If it help take Violet.

#4 Try and eat more balanced meals. Don’t just go for my usual bread and chesses. Add a carrot or some celery, and a piece of fruit.

#5 Train Violet at least once every day. Again don’t be lazy, she can be trained is I put the time into it. No book or screen has something more important than training and spending time with my dog.

Those are the five most biggest goals that I currently have in my life, of course there are other smaller ones, but these are the ones I want to set my mind to a fulfill. Which is what I say every year and then follow through with for a few weeks before drooping them. But with the help and encouragement of my family and friends I KNOW that I can do this.

I hope that you (my readers) also have goals, and are ready as we dive into this knew year. As you finish reading this post I want you to get up and smile, then go spend time with the people that matter. I want you to know that their is nothing more important than your family, they will always be there. So go have some fun, as we say good bye to 2024 and hello to 2025.

  1. So happy to start another year with you! Love these new goals, I might steal them for myself 😅 Don’t forget to give yourself grace and accept your imperfections (which we ALL have!) as you move forward and try to improve! It’s not always a straight line and that’s ok. I know you can do all this and more 🥳
