G. Marshall 4/5 stars. This book was so. Freaking. Good. I loved absolutely everything about it!! I’m usually not a big fan of fairy tale spin offs, but so far, this series has just been amazing. It probably helps that the author isn’t actually changing the fairy tales I know; she’s just using them as a base to her stories. XD The writing is pretty decent for a book I can only find for sale (it’s not in any of my Libraries), and the characters are the best! The only reason it’s 4 stars, and not 5, is because she took to long to kiss the prince. I’m dead serious. 😘

The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Loin (Vol. 1) by Beth Brower 3.5/5 stars. This book was recommended to me by A LOT of friends -they just couldn’t stop talking about it 🤣- so I decided to give it a shot! I liked it well enough. It was really funny, and the writing is different from books I’ve been reading lately. I hate how mistreated she is; absolutely breaks my heart. I will listen to the next one eventually, I just need some time and brain energy to be freed up…

Rob Roy by Walter Scott 3/5 stars. This book wasn’t to bad if I’m being honest. It was a bit hard to follow at some points, and occasionally it felt like they weren’t even speaking English. Though that might be because I accidentally had it playing to fast….. But even with that, I feel like I have a pretty general idea on what happened. I think if I ever reread it; I would enjoy, and understand it a lot more!

The Scorch Trials (The Maze Runner #2) by James Dashner 3/5 stars. I can’t decide if I enjoy this one more than the first one, but maybe I do, just a bit. It was full of so much suspense; which is probably why I didn’t give it a higher rating. XD I thought I was finally going to get some answers at the end, but NO. I must continue to wait. Also, if he ends up with Brenda, and not Teresa, I’m going to have a problem. A BIG problem. I’m also, like, watching two different plots, because the movies have started going down a completely different trail.

The Great Divorce C. S. Lewis 5/5 stars. I absolutely LOVED this book. It was so good, and now I have so many more questions about hell and heaven. I was very much not expecting the ending though; I thought it would end with him starting his journey into the mountains. Over all, I think it might actually be my favorite C. S. Lewis book.

Royals (Royals #1) Rachel Hawkins 4/5 stars. I love this book so much. The writing is amazing, the plot is decent, and the characters go above and beyond. I also love that it’s set in Scotland. XD

Her Royal Highness (Royal #2) by Rachel Hawkins 4.5/5 stars. I only have one word for this book. AMAZING.

The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand 5/5 stars. This story was just wonderful. I was a bit unsure when I picked it up, and first started reading it, but as you get into it, and the plot unfolds, you absolutely fall in love. It’s difficult now a days, for me to really grow attached to a character, but I absolutely did in this book. I was not expecting the way it ended, but it was a beautiful choice. I was very much crying happy tears.

Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome 4/5 stars. Just hilarious. This story was full of so many laughs, their adventure full of so many mishaps, and their time spent telling stories. Also, the way the author talked about the dog, made it seem as if it was a person, which I find a very interesting decision.

Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris 10/5 stars. It took me years, but I finally finished this book. I can’t even begin to express how much I love it. It’s been the cause of so many big AND little changes in my life. I started my book club, I began to help with my towns pantry, and I’ve been stared giving my school, and things I do in my life, my best effort. I plan to eventually do a blog post on at least every chapter!

CURRENTLY READING:

Persuasion by Jane Austen – 146 pages out of 249

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black – 44 pages out of 370

A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K.
