To start watching Christmas movies before Thanksgiving has even passed. That what a lot of people would think, and I agree with them. But that doesn’t stop it from being the truth. That’s right, the season has arrived. My dear mother has decreed that we (as in my family) are to start watching Christmas movies now, that way we don’t miss any. I mean, how many movies are there?….. I see I’m in for a lot of Fridays of watching old classics that I’ve seen a million times. I have mixed feelings about this if you can’t tell.

I do love some of the classics, but some just get on my nerves. I’m more of a person who likes to watch new movies, not rewatch the same ones over, and over. That is sadly not the case with the rest of my family though, meaning I’ve seen movies like Home Alone, and The Santa Clause a MILLION times.

I’ve decided though, that this year I shall be making my own list! My mother can deny me the right to watch Christmas movies. XP I’m getting in the spirit! My list will include some of my favorite old classics, but it will also include movies that my family would not willingly watch. 😅

Anyways, tonight my family watch The Santa Clause. My mother LOVES this movie, I think it might be her favorite, and it’s almost always the first Christmas movie we watch. It’s not my favorite, but I don’t hate it either. I’m a person who is very affected by the embarrassing scenes in movies, and this one has quite a few.

When these happen(the embarrassing scenes), I tend to hide my face in the nearest thing, either a blanket or a family members shoulder, and plug my ears. XD I really do dislike these scenes. But the movie isn’t full of them! There are scenes that make me laugh out loud, snort, scoff, or grin. Those ones are much better.

One thing I have noticed, is the more I watch a single move, the different things I pick up on.

This year I was stuck on their worry about Charlie believing in Santa Clause. This kind of drove me crazy as I watched. I mean, why the heck was everyone getting so worked up over it? He’s was just a little kid, with a wild mind. So what if he thought Santa Clause was real, and that his dad was Santa Clause? I do admit that isn’t a normal occurrence to believe you’re dad is Santa Clause, but why get so worked up about it? I do understand why they started to get worried when Scotts appearance started to changer, but before that, it just seemed so ridicules.

There is also, this one scene when he comes into work, and everyone is astounded, and upset by his weight change. That one just made me angry. It’s not something you’d exactly notice the first time watching the movie, but still it’s there, imprinting on the minds of the kids who watch it. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a house hold to grow up in where they are told that weight doesn’t matter.

Anyway, that was my take on some of the things in the movie. This isn’t an exact review, just some thoughts. If you’d like me to do a full review, just let me know.
