Pizza + Me = \ud83d\udc9cIt&#8217;s possibly my most favorite food ever, if I had to eat the same food for the rest of my life I would pick pizza. It&#8217;s not always the same, you can have so many different toppings! Also, it has two of the best food groups, cheese and bread. \ud83d\ude04 What&#8217;s not to love? And lucky for me I get to have it every single week! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In my family on Friday we have pizza, watch a movie and eat popcorn! It&#8217;s an awesome way to end the week and start the weekend. For a long as I can remember I usually make the pizza, it&#8217;s always been my thing. This week is no different! Are you ready to make a steaming circle (or in my case, rectangle) of deliciousness? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">FUN FACT #1: Did you know that pizza was originally only for peasants?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-679d2c029b97a7a217867b26af1ccb11\" style=\"color:#0b0be5\"><strong> Ingredients: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-23b1d8a7409fbde8d055b96e171da2ca\" style=\"color:#0022cc\">-2 1\/2 cups of Flour    -1 pinch of Salt    -2 cups of Sourdough Starter    -2 tablespoons of Olive Oil<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ed6fe2e56d21aac8b1cfd652c58a8e82\" style=\"color:#0022cc\">-Water    -Mozzarella    -Pizza sauce    -Any toppings    -Seasoning (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ae563286bf271ea759ba572d26942d69\" style=\"color:#0022cc\"><strong>Supplies: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3ff78f74dec8edd4f0a5276e3a15f17a\" style=\"color:#0022cc\">-Large mixing bowl    -Dough whisk    -2 pans    -Parchment paper (or grits)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-11211c4690f0fb1ea9a51e22a0fc3a2a\" style=\"color:#0022cc\"><strong>This Recipe Serves:<\/strong> 4 or more people (depending how you serve it up and your appetite!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step One: <\/strong>In large mixing bowl use dough whisk to mix together sourdough starter and olive oil.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/mae.blauvelt.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/image-25.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-439\" style=\"width:376px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mae.blauvelt.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/image-25.png 768w, https:\/\/mae.blauvelt.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/image-25-225x300.png 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Step Two: <\/strong>Mix in salt and flour. If it&#8217;s to sticky add more flour, if to dry add water. Keep adding either one until it looks right.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/mae.blauvelt.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/image-26.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-440\" style=\"width:416px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mae.blauvelt.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/image-26.png 768w, https:\/\/mae.blauvelt.me\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/image-26-225x300.png 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Step Three:<\/strong> Lift dough ball out of the bowl and set it aside for a moment. Rub olive oil in the bowl and then return the dough ball to the bowl. Put a towel over the bowl and set aside to rest for 2 or more hours. (Don&#8217;t be upset if it doesn&#8217;t rise. I never can get mine to. \ud83d\ude0b)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">FUN FACT #2: Pizza originates from Italy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step Four:<\/strong> Get out pans and put parchment paper on them (or sprinkle grits). Set oven to 500\u00b0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">FUN FACT #3: Did you know pizza is delicious? \ud83d\ude43<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step Five:<\/strong> Split dough in half. Roll them out to the size of your pans and then put them on the pans. (I forgot the pizza sauce when I was taking the picture and was to lazy to retake it.
