Hello to anyone who is reading this! My name Mae Blackwood. I’m a 15 year old, homeschooled, teenage girl who loves to write but tends to have run on sentences. 🙃 I live in Indiana on the outskirts of a small town in a tiny cabin on 50 acers of forest. Those who live with me include, my mother, father, two younger brothers, and six dogs! Like every family, we have those bad days, but we have good days also!

When I was younger (about 5-12 I think) we -as in my family and I- would travel a lot for my dads job. It was fun, and I do miss it now and them. Getting to see all those new places, meet all those new people, it was so much fun. I don’t think I really understood what an amazing experience it was as a young kid, so now that I’m older, I do miss it. I made friends all over the United States, though I regret to say I am not in contact with any of them. As I’ve said before, I’m sad but happy we haven’t gone on a trip in a while. For one thing my bed in our camper feels more cramped than it did when I was 5. 🤪 My dad still goes on trips for work, but shorter and by himself. It’s kind of hard to take five people, six dogs, and all our stuff in 30 foot trailer. XD My dad did say that when I’m older and can drive maybe he’ll take me with him. (Come on 16!)

(Quick explanation. On a forum I’m on we can’t use emojis so this: ‘XD’ is very common. It’s a smiley face with letters. It’s very good at expressing multiple emotions. XD)

I have been homeschooled my entire life. Like life it has it’s ups and downs. There have been times when I really wish I wasn’t, but there are those moment when I’m so happy I am. One great thing about doing the kind of homeschool I do, it that I get to be on this forum with other teens who do the same school as me! I have met so many great friends on there, and I really think they’ve helped shape me into the person I am today.

I have a lot of hobbies and things I like to do. Such as: reading, singing, playing guitar, acting, writing, watching movies with my family, crocheting, and playing Minecraft with my friends! (There are more, but it would take forever to list them all. 😄)

I’m not sure what my favorite book/series is. If it was a life or death decision though, I would probably pick The Inheritance Game series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Jameson Hawthorne is definitely my favorite of the Hawthorne boys. 😉 He totally deserves Avery Grambs. I’ll probably do a book review on this one day. ONE DAY. This book is jus so amazing, how the author wrote it I can’t even begin to imagen.

Some other book series I really like: The Hunger Games Series, The Texas Ever After Series, The Green Ember Series, Harry Potter series, Folk of the Air Series by Holly Black, and the Sorcery of Thornes Series. They are all really amazing, and I totally recommend them all. Like, go read them people!

I also love to sing. I’m currently in a choir, that I do every Monday. I have mixed feelings about it, but I do enjoy it! One reason I’m still doing it is because it means I get to see one of my best friend every Monday. XP When I’m not singing I listen to music. I’m not very picky about what kind of music I’ll listen too, the only kind I really don’t like is rock. 😝 My main ones though are pop and new country. I also play some guitar and even less piano. But! I am taking piano as a high school elective, so I’m sure I’ll get better.

I’m currently focusing my writing on one one of my novels, though I have many other partially started ones and lots of ideas to start others. The books is called Unwanted Forever. My goal wasto finish it by my 15th birthday, but that didn’t happen, so I’m now just slowly working on it. I do hope to finish it soon, because I really do love it.

My favorite movie currently is definitely K-Pop Demon Hunters. It’s just amazing, and the songs are so freaking good. My favorite TV show is currently anything anime. I’m obsessed, and have even though about paying for a Crunchyroll subscription.
